A little girl from Matroosfontein, named Venita was having her sixth birthday. Her dad took her out shopping to buy a gift. Inside the shop she decided on a little clown with a round, red nose and upstanding purple hair that was holding up 5 fingers with one hand.
"This is what I want, Pappa," she said with a smile. The dad didn't like the smile on the clown's face, but that was what his daughter wanted, so he bought it for her.
Venita went home and put her clown on the shelf near her bed and went to sleep
The next morning, her dad called to Venita,
"Wake up, honey, time for breakfast!" ...There was no answer. The dad walked up to Venita's room and knocked on the door. There was still no answer. He open the door, getting worried.
Venita was lying on the floor...dead. He looked around and immediately noted that the clown had changed position on the shelf where it was put the previous evening.
